House of the Dragon has reportedly begun reshoots in Watford.

In-the-know fan sites had previously reported that reshoots for the second series of the hit TV follow-up to Game of Thrones were set to take place for a few weeks this month.

According to the site Redanian Intelligence, these are now understood to have recently got underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. It suggested that the extra filming may be in order to make script tweaks that were not allowed during the writers’ strike last year.

Despite any necessary changes the show is still expected to premier early this summer.

In April last year, Sky confirmed that the main series two production was underway and would be using the Leavesden facility.

The first series was also filmed in the town and included an enormous set used to create the battle on the beach scenes in the studio backlot.

The show is based on author George RR Martin’s work Fire and Blood which is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
