A state-of-the-art film and TV studios in Hertfordshire was transformed into New York for a forthcoming apocalyptic sci-fi horror movie.
Paramount Pictures have released the official trailer and teaser poster of A Quiet Place: Day One.
The film is a spin-off prequel of the two A Quiet Place horror franchise movies starring Emily Blunt, taking cinema-goers to the very beginning of the alien invasion of Earth.
The 2018 original A Quiet Place film centres on a mother, played by Emily Blunt, and father (John Krasinski) who struggle to survive and raise their children in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by sightless extra-terrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing.
A sequel, A Quiet Place Part II, was released in 2020.
Set for release on June 28, 2024, A Quiet Place: Day One tells the story of the day the world suddenly went quiet.
So where was A Quiet Place: Day One filmed?
With the tagline 'Hear how it all began', scenes of A Quiet Place: Day One were shot on the stages and backlot of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
With the first trailer now released, the Watford film studios posted on Instagram: "Hear how it all began. The first trailer for @aquietplace: Day One is out now!

Produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and franchise creator John Krasinski, and directed by Michael Sarnoski, A Quiet Place: Day One stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou.
Lupita Nyong’o is best known for her Oscar-winning role in 12 Years a Slave and appearances as Nakia in Black Panther and sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Joseph Quinn starred as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Netflix series Stranger Things.
As well as the forthcoming A Quiet Place: Day One, the long-awaited Beetlejuice sequel starring Michael Keaton — now officially called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice — was made at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
The Leavesden studios stages were also home to three of the last year's biggest box office successes, with Barbie, Fast X and Wonka all made in Hertfordshire.
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, the sequel to 2018’s Aquaman, The Flash and Jason Statham's shark sequel Meg 2: The Trench were also all based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
