Watford Museum on Tour is returning with an event aiming to bring to life the ways in which people in the town communicated in the past.

'From Watford, With Love' is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The free drop-in display brings Watford's past to life by showcasing the various communication methods used in its history.

The event is taking place at the Creator Space at Watford Central Library where the museum team will be sharing a range of curated items.

There will also be a range of craft activities for kids such as making secret signal fans, creating postcards, and designing their own Watford stamps.

These activities will be on February 22 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and February 23 from 10am to 2pm.

With £68,679 from The National Lottery Fund, the event is provided at no cost to attendees.

Watford mayor Peter Taylor said: "I think it's great we have organised this fantastic opportunity to explore Watford's history.

"There are some really interesting items from the collection at this event.

"If you're interested in the designs for the new museum’s location, you will be able to look at the Town Hall quarter progress, and provide invaluable feedback on how we are doing.

"This engagement helps our town ensure our heritage remains secure, and we can tell Watford's story to future generations.

"I can't wait to take my daughter there and see her learn more about Watford."

Watford Museum on Tour will continues its journey with a pop-up museum set to showcase a different facet of the town's history at Atria in April.
