This year's Watford Volunteers Fair will be hosted at Atria Watford's atrium area.

For many years now, this event has given individuals the opportunity to interact with various charities and community groups.

This year, Alex Murray, W3RT CVS lead for Watford, is partnering with Atria, Go Vol Herts, and Watford Borough Council to host the event.

Mr Murray has said: "Volunteering embodies the spirit of unity and collaboration that has defined our community over the last few years.

"It's a chance for individuals to explore their passions, lend a helping hand, and make a real difference in the lives of others."

The Watford Volunteers Fair, which is due to take place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, June 1, will showcase a variety of organisations from across Watford and the adjoining Three Rivers.

Citizens Advice Watford, Home Start Watford and Three Rivers, Herts Mind Network, and Watford & Three Rivers Trust are among the groups who will be in attendance.

As such, a multitude of volunteer pathways, ranging from gardening to advisory and trustee roles, will be available to explore, allowing the community to contribute to positive change.

Emma Burgham, chief officer at Citizens Advice Watford, will be present at the fair.

She has said: "I am grateful to W3RT for hosting the fair again.

"The demand on our service has soared in the last two years.

"We are looking forward to recruiting additional volunteers to help us meet this increased demand and support people in crisis".

Corporate partnerships for employer-supported volunteering are also expected to be topics of discussion from the organisations in attendance.
