The Horrible Histories Barmy Britain Roman centurion invaded Watford Museum this weekend.
The cast member from the popular children's book series accompanied a history lesson from the museum detailing some of the more unsavoury aspects of Watford's colourful past.
The event included a family trail around the museum to discover more about the Romans and the museum’s collection, a colouring in competition for the best Horrible Histories Roman, an animal mosaic making session and an opportunity to handle some real Roman pottery.
Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain is at Watford Colosseum from Friday, September 26, to Sunday, September 28.
