A budget gym coming to Watford is sponsoring this year's Push It For The Peace fundraising event in aid of Peace Hospice Care.

The Gym Watford, which is set to open in the Imperial Industrial Park, is sponsoring the five-mile obstacle run being held in Cassiobury Park on September 20.

Brigid Mansfield, general manager, said: "We’re thrilled to be sponsoring this fantastic charity event. Everyone who registers will play their part in helping Peace Hospice Care provide support for local people with a life threatening or limiting terminal illness, whilst the obstacle race will also encourage the local community to get fit and active in a fun way."

The Gym Watford is offering the participant who raises the most money for Peace Hospice Care a years’ free membership.

The gym is also running a 'funny fitness pose' competition and the winner, to be announced on their opening day of November 17, will receive a one-month membership and five personal training sessions.
