1. The Adventure
This interactive story for children takes place as a promenade performance all around the Palace theatre, using the spaces like never before. When a famous scientist is abducted, it takes his two children, their best friend, an incompetent storyteller and you to rescue him. Join the intrepid gang of young detectives to explore a dark and scary disused building, discover clues, crack codes and find the courage to help solve a fiendishly puzzling mystery. 2. Christmas Little Gallery Tearoom
There will be a fantastic array of local artistic talent, with the chance for you to buy something unique and locally created. Jewellery artist Christine Orchard will be holding an adult workshop to create six different festive-inspired decorations using star-shaped, triangular and round beads. 3. Countdown to Christmas
Enjoy a mince pie and a host of winter treats at the annual Watford4Watford family fun day. There will be a gymnastics display, face painting, arts and crafts, storytime sessions, a winter room inspired by Disney’s Frozen, cupcakes and gifts and much, much more. 4. Christmas Market

5. Connections Christmas Market
The St Margaret’s School Christmas fair returns with its biggest and best event yet! Pop in for a shopping extravaganza and visit the 30-plus stalls selling jewellery, accessories, homeware, arts and crafts, gifts, and health and beauty. There will also be  cakes, mince pies, treats, hot food and mulled wine, a chocolate fountain, hot waffles, candyfloss and more. 6. Parmiter’s Christmas Craft Fair
There will be more than 50 stalls selling clothes, jewellery, Christmas decorations, toys and gifts.

7. Opera Gala
Watford-based, internationally renowned musician Phillip Thomas will direct a concert of operatic favourites – including The Pearl Fishers’ Duet, Habanera, Vilja, O Mio Babbino Caro, and The Toreador’s Song – with singers from Opera Herts, his newly-formed opera company, in support of Peace Hospice Care. St Matthew’s Church, Eastbury Road, Watford, November 22, 7.30pm. 8. The Good Old Boys
