The closing date is fast approaching to sign up for a Superhero Skydive to raise money for Abbots Langley charity DEMAND.
The event is one of many challenges DEMAND holds each year to raise money for the design and manufacture of equipment for people with disabilities. The charity has reserved Saturday, May 16 for the skydives to take place at North London Skydiving Centre Ltd. in March, Cambridgeshire, but registration to take part ends on Thursday, March 26.
A £50 deposit is required, and DEMAND asks for a minimum sponsorship amount of £450. If the £450 target is reached, deposits will be refunded, making jumps free.
Denise Gillies, fundraising manager at DEMAND, said: "Sign up for DEMAND’s Superhero Skydive in 2015, and you’ll get to experience one of the most exhilarating feelings ever. While back on the ground, the money people raise will be used to transform the lives of children and adults living with disabilities."
