Visitors to Watford parks this weekend to get double points on selected Beat The Street beat boxes from 7am today to 7pm on Monday, July 6.

Three beat boxes will attract double points: beat box number 70 on Stanborough Park, off Sheepcot Lane, beat box number 80 near Cassiobury Park, on Parkside Drive, and beat box number 12 on the Oxhey playing fields, off Hayling Road.

Hertfordshire County Council’s cabinet member for Public Health, Teresa Heritage, said: "The competition is really encouraging our residents to get more active, which will have tremendous benefits on their long term health and wellbeing.

"We’re now half way through the competition and half way to our 500,000 mile target, so please take advantage of the glorious weather and the double points offer this weekend and get tapping.

"Keep up the fantastic effort Watford."

The six-week walking game aims to encourage people to be more physically active by making it fun.
