Staff from a Watford housing association have taken part in a charity golf day to raise money for a group of musicians with learning disabilities.

Watford Community Housing Trust staff took part in the event, which was hosted and sponsored by R Benson Property Maintenance, at West Herts Golf Club in aid of the Electric Umbrella charity - a musical band made up of people with learning disabilities.

The Electric Umbrella charity enjoy entertaining others through their stage talents, allowing them to express themselves, gain self-worth and grow in stature.

The trust's team, made up of Horace Caton, Russell Montague, Mick McErlane and Martyn Beckford, said they thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to give back to their community.

Russell Montague, continuous improvement business partner at the trust, said: “Firstly I was very appreciative to the trust for allowing us to attend the golf day and for their support of the local Electric Umbrella charity.

"I really enjoyed the day – it was a great course and we met some great people. There were lots of fun opportunities to raise money for the charity."
