The animal centre in Watford is appealing to animal lovers to give their rescue cats, dogs and rabbits a Christmas treat.
The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) in Tylers Way, have launched a shoe box appeal.
They are asking people to find a shoe box, wrap it in Christmas paper and fill it with dry or tin foods, toys, bedding, blankets and treats.
The centre houses rescue rabbits, guinea pigs, cats and dogs.
Jackie De Friez, NAWT centre manager, said: “The animals we look after have come in to our centre for a number of reasons and whilst they are with us we hope to give them a safe and caring environment before they find their home.”
The boxes can be dropped off at NAWT centre.
