Five pupils took part in various garden projects across Watford to help bring plant beds back to life.
The pupils, all from Chessbrook Education Support Centre (ESC), took the time out to transform the plant beds at Edward Amey Hub and Leavesden Green Community Hub last month.
The students aged 14/15 are currently on the Prince’s Trust programme and are working in partnership with Watford Community Housing Trust on their various gardening projects.
Tracey Grace from Chessbrook ESC said: “The students and staff have really enjoyed doing these projects and we will come again in the spring time to see how they have grown.”
The Prince’s Trust programme helps to give young people the practical and financial support they need to stabilise their lives.
Anne Sillwood, community hubs officer at Watford Community Housing Trust, said: “It was a great experience working with the students of Chessbrook ESC on behalf of the Trust.
“I look forward to seeing the completed gardening projects around the community.”
