A large office block will be demolished in Croxley Green Business Park and replaced with bigger offices.
Building 1 will be pulled down to make way for a new 60,000 sq ft building.
Workmen started this process yesterday and they are aiming to complete the demolition process in July. The new building will be completed in July next year.
Medical technology firm Smith and Nephew signed a deal to take up 58,000 sq ft of office space, marking the biggest commercial property deal in Watford in 15 years.
Rob Flavelle, speaking on behalf of the owners, said: “Croxley Green Business Park has reached an exciting new stage that will extend employment opportunities in the local area.
“The delivery of new high quality HQ office accommodation supports our goal of reinforcing the Business Park’s status as a dominant location for business within the north-west sector of the M25.
“Our aspiration is to further elevate the status of the Park to continue to attract major service sector HQ occupiers from across the country.”
