The story of London’s iconic red double-decker Routemaster bus will be told in dance as part of Watford's Big Dance.
The double-decker will roll into the events space on The Parade by the pond on Sunday, June 5 for Watford Big Dance, running from 1pm to 5pm.
There will be a 10 by 10 metre dance floor in front of the bus, where its history will be performed by professional dancers in a 15-minute routine.
The Big Dance Bus Company will then lead taster sessions and workshops.
There will be routines by Watford dance groups from West Herts College, Central Primary School, New Connections, Act One Arts Base, Terpsichore Dance Company and Hertfordshire Youth Dance Company. The groups’ members will be aged from seven to 80.
Act One Arts Base is for young people aged five to 25 with physical and learning needs while New Connections is the resident 50+ dance company of Watford Museum.
The event is being staged as part of Watford Borough Council''s Big Events series of cultural and sporting activities.
