A school in Chorleywood is one of the first in the country to receive a science award.
St Clement Danes School was awarded the Platinum Science Mark following an assessment during the summer term.
The award examines how the school personalises science to meet students’ needs, its vision for science education and its curriculum and student progress.
St Clement Danes Headteacher Dr Valentine said: "My sincere thanks and congratulations to the science faculty and especially to Mrs Quinton who submitted the application. They have worked tirelessly to ensure the science experience of St Clement Danes’ students is second to none."
To win the award, the school was visited by a STEM Learning assessor.
The assessor said: “The visit to the school only strengthened this application and I have to say, on a personal level, how impressed I was with the students.
“They were very honest and gave high praise of their school.”
