Watford is set for thunderstorms tonight after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning.

The forecaster has said there could be travel disruption and flooding as the town braces itself for thunder and lightning this evening and overnight.

The warning is in place across the south of England from 11pm to 6am tomorrow.

“Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services,” the Met Office said.

It added that there is a slight chance of power cuts and disruption to other services to homes and businesses.
