- A fire then ripped through the roof as residents watched on outside
- No one was injured, Herts Fire and Rescue confirmed
- A neighbour recalled seeing the blaze "erupt" through the roof
- The fire service managed to get it under control and stop it spreading to nearby properties
- It came during a Met Office yellow weather warning for thunderstorms
