Oscar Garcia has been released from hospital, and he could return to the training ground later this week.

The Hornets head coach was admitted on Sunday, September 14 suffering from minor chest pains and the club have confirmed he was allowed to return home yesterday.

Watford are not putting a time frame on his return to work but they are hopeful it could be later this week.

Assistant coaches Ruben Martinez and Javier Pereira have looked after the team in the Spaniard’s absence, overseeing last week’s 1-0 win at Blackpool followed by Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth.

Oscar did pen his first programme notes as Hornets boss at the weekend and you can read what he had to say here.
