Watford look over-priced to claim a win at promotion rivals Middlesbrough this weekend.

The Hornets go into tomorrow's match one place above their opponents in the table and second-placed Watford are a much more appealing betting prospect.

Middlesbrough are a best price of 11/10 with Ladbrokes but that looks very short considering the opposition and a modest home record which has only seen them win half of their league games at the Riverside Stadium.

Watford have made decent strides forward this season away from home including last weekend's 3-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday so backing them at 11/4 with William Hill is suggested.

Alternatively you can go for the double chance market where Paddy Power are offering 4/5 that the visitors avoid defeat.

Troy Deeney has an excellent record against Middlesbrough with four goals in five appearances including in both matches last season. If he gets the nod to start then Betfred's offer of 2/1 looks on the generous side.

Four of the last five games between the sides have featured at least three goals so backing over 2.5 tomorrow must have a good chance of coming off at 19/20 with William Hill.
