Watford are worth backing as outsiders to continue their promotion charge at Wolves this weekend.

The Hornets are one of the form sides in the Championship, sitting third in the table, with six wins from their last seven games but are still available at 2/1 with Betfred to come away with a win at the play-off contenders tomorrow.

This looks a touch generous considering their recent results and the fact Watford have already won nine times away in the league this season.

Wolves are just outside the top six and also in decent form with three wins from their last four matches.

But the bookies are certainly not giving anything away and odds of 11/8 with William Hill appear on the short side against the Hornets.

Watford were poor in December’s 1-0 home defeat and their record at Molineux is poor with just one win from 16 visits. Ten of these have finished all square but seeing as the Hornets haven’t drawn for 21 league games since October there is no temptation to back this result.

The Hornets are the top scorers in the Championship but may find it hard keeping out a Wolves side that have netted eight goals in their last two home matches. Take both teams to score at 4/6 with Betfred.
