Kayleigh McCarthy won two awards at Sprung Loaded Trampoline Club’s annual awards and presentation evening.

The Garston-based trampolinist won the ‘highest form’ and ‘hardest working’ gymnast awards as she saw her efforts recognised by other members of the club.

The highest form award relates to neatness of routine and McCarthy achieved this while performing in Hull this year, when she took the title having scored a personal best 140.290 to beat any other gymnast at the club.

Her second honour was voted for by the coaches and judges atwithin the club, which has more than 100 members.

She said: “I’m really pleased to have won these awards this year, particularly the hardest working gymnast award. I want to show the younger members of the club that hard work does pay off.”

McCarthy is currently ranked second and third in the National Trampoline League standings this year and travels to Cardiff this weekend for her next national competition.
