Porto are expected to activate their option to sign Watford full-back Miguel Layun at the end of this month.
Layun has spent this season on loan at Porto and the club have until May 31 to confirm to the Hornets whether they want to sign him permanently.
Watford received €500,000 from the loan agreement and the Portuguese club have the option to buy Layun for €6million, in two instalments, this summer.
The Mexican international made four appearances last season for Watford under Quique Sanchez Flores before his loan switch to Porto.
Layun featured in 41 games for Porto scoring six goals as the side finished third in the Primeira Liga.
His final appearance of the season came on Sunday in the Portuguese Cup final where Porto were beaten 4-2 on penalties by Braga after a 2-2 draw.
