Premier Division

The only game in the Watford Sunday League top flight to survive the heavy overnight rain produced the most sensational result of the season so far, as second-from-bottom Abbots Langley Club achieved only their second victory of the season by inflicting on reigning champions North Watford a 3-1 defeat which was their first in the division since being promoted in 2021.

North Watford missed some good early chances before Abbots punished them by taking the lead after a Tom Bourke cross was headed in at the back post by Kyle Clifford.

A second soon followed and came after a goalmouth scramble which was finished off by Ben Knights.

North Watford piled on the pressure in the second half and they reduced the arrears through an Ashley Lewis goal, but that setback just seemed to inspire their opponents and they made sure of the win when a driving forward run and pass from Jayden Chamberlain allowed Alieu Gibril to curl the ball into the top corner.

Division One

Woodside moved to the top of the table after taking three points from their double header with Chalfont Saints who had started the morning bottom.

Saints won the first game 2-1, which was only their second victory of the season, thanks to goals from Andre Ford and Sam Roberts, with Ollie Lawford once again netting for Woodside.

In the return game, normal service was resumed for Woodside as they cruised to a 4-0 win, with Lawford getting a brace, along with goals from Jamie Dunlop and Harry Beaumont.

Division Two

The Cross moved six points clear at the summit after they beat King George 4-2.

This means George have dropped from top of the table to third bottom since the turn of the year in a remarkable loss of form.

Troy Norbert, Stephfani Grimes-Ford, Abhay Punni and Raphael Wiredu scored for Cross with the George replies coming from Costa Evangelides and an own goal.

The double header between CF Fajecka and Frances George produced four points for CF, as they won the first game 3-1 and drew the second 1-1.

Ryan Emmanuel, Stasiek Lazeba and Damian Wojtak were on target in the first match with Luke Furlong replying.

It was honours even in the second match with George Mundy scoring for George and Alex Bushnell for CF.
