Thieves “drilled” into a van parked at a Watford Premier Inn - the latest in a string of break-ins at the hotel chain's car parks.
Hertfordshire Police appealed for witnesses after a drill, spare battery and charger were stolen from a Vauxhall Vivaro parked at the St Albans Road site between 8.30pm and 10.30pm yesterday, April 25.
The victim reported that thieves had broken in by “drilling” a hole into the side panel of the vehicle.
It follows several similar incidents at Premier Inns in Water Lane, Ascot Road, Rickmansworth and Kings Langley branches last year.
Police said they have checked the hotel's CCTV but also appealed for anyone with information to contact them by calling 101, quoting crime reference number 41/32838/24.

During the various break-ins, vehicles targeted were mainly vans and holes were drilled into them to gain entry on at least three occasions.
Following one incident last year in Rickmansworth, a GoFundMe page was launched to help tradesmen Stephen Baker, who said it left him "angry" and "depressed".
